Fondation de l'Armée du Salut & FERS
The "Rêver pour grandir" (Dream to Grow) project, supported by the bioMérieux Endowment Fund, is taking root in the Fondation de l'Armée du Salut’s shelters.
Co-constructed by the Fondation Entreprise Réussite Scolaire (FERS) and the Fondation de l'Armée du Salut, the project supports 300 children living with their parents in emergency shelters. It seeks to deconstruct limiting beliefs, give meaning to school learning by discovering the diversity of professions, and allow children to dream like their peers. As a result, children will feel more valued and raise their aspirations, which is essential to gaining self-confidence and projecting themselves towards a new future.
This approach, proposed by the FERS after-school teaching team, has been tested in priority education districts in the Lyon region of France.
